Mediation is a fair and efficient process to help you resolve your family law disputes and reach an agreement.
You and the other person will meet with the mediator and talk about your disagreements. Mediators help people figure out their problems, they will help to build better agreements, parenting plans and relationships.
The mediator keeps the meeting private, they do not take sides, they do not make decisions for you and they do not testify in court. Mediators help create agreements that you can live with. |

SUSAN M. HOLT
“It is my goal to help people work through their family matters so that each party will not have to be pitted against the other. I would also like to help the parties work together to reach the best outcome for their own family’s needs.” |

Method of Payment
Fees for mediation are usually shared between the parties; unless determined otherwise. Fees include a professional hourly fee for session time and for the mediator’s work outside of the sessions for correspondence via mail, fax or e-mail, discussions with the parties, their counsel, or with other persons concerning matters related to the case. An initial drafting fee is also collected before mediation begins, to be applied towards the time spent by the mediator in drafting the mediation agreement.
Payment for sessions is due at the end of each session. Any fees incurred between sessions are due at the next meeting. Holt Law Firm accepts the following:
